Those of the bedouins who lagged behind will say to you: "Our possessions and our families occupied us. so ask forgiveness for us." They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say: "Who then has any power at all (to intervene) on your behalf with Allah. if He intends you hurt or intends you benefit? Nay. but Allah is Ever All-Aware of what you do. |

They speak with their tongues that which is not in their hearts. Say: Who can avail you aught against Allah. if He intend you hurt or intend you profit? Nay. but Allah is ever Aware of what ye do. |

They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say: Then who can control anything for you from Allah if He intends to do you harm or if He intends to do you good; nay, Allah is Aware of what you do:

The desert Arabs who lagged behind will say to thee: "We were engaged in (looking after) our flocks and herds. and our families: do thou then ask forgiveness for us." They say with their tongues what is not in their hearts. Say: "Who then has any power at all (to intervene) on your behalf with Allah. if His Will is to give you some loss or to give you some profit? But Allah is well acquainted with all that ye do. |
